On October 17, the 2024 China-Nordic Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and China Hubei-Europe Economic and Trade Negotiation Series Events jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Hubei Provincial People's Government was grandly held in Wuhan, with the ambassadors of the five Nordic countries, senior executives of the Fortune 500 European companies, representatives from key European business associations, and renowned domestic and international enterprises, along with experts and scholars gathering.

The first Sino-German Green Conference was held concurrently at the event, aimed at deepening cooperation between China-Europe green industries and seeking new opportunities for a green revolution. Mr. Mingfu Xiong, vice dean of the JSH research institute, was invited to attend and engage in a vibrant exchange of ideas with industry elites on how energy and technology can contribute to achieving dual carbon goals.
Participants at the event unanimously agreed that achieving the dual carbon goals requires two indispensable elements: energy and technology revolution. As a representative of the "new three essentials," lithium batteries play a crucial role in energy conservation, carbon reduction, and driving a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. At the same time, companies should firmly grasp the concept of 'new quality productivity' as a key point, continuously innovate, drive product iteration, and forge a new engine for high-quality development.

Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement in Formation and Capacity-grading Testing Section
Mingfu Xiong stated that JSH through its technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and market leadership in the lithium battery equipment sector, has become a benchmark enterprise in the industry. In response to the industry's cost reduction pressures, JSH is advancing towards extreme energy efficiency, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction. The company has successively launched integrated formation machines and high-voltage direct current water-cooling capacity-grading machines, which, compared to traditional models, eliminate the need for controlling temperature and humidity in the factory, reducing operational costs by more than 20%.
Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement on the Client side
Based on industry pressure to respond to clients' demands for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. JSH has developed a capacity prediction system by using neural network technology. The prediction system has been validated with data from 500,000 battery cells, achieving a root mean square error (RMSE) of less than 0.5% between predicted and actual data. This capacity prediction solution can reduce equipment investment and operating costs by 40%.

Additionally, to meet the clients’ accurate cost-reduction goals, JSH has innovatively developed a digital HVDC simulation platform, which can be used to validate the performance of multiple production lines before production, reducing the cost of physical trial-and-error. At the same time, by building a virtual simulation environment, the electrical and software systems can be deployed to simulate integrated testing, significantly shortening the on-site commissioning cycle. Additionally, this system enables intelligent fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance of equipment, further assisting clients in achieving energy conservation and carbon reduction.
Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement of Overseas
With the acceleration of internationalization and in response to the pain point of high electricity costs overseas, JSH has promptly addressed customer needs by launching a water-heating formation integrated machine. This machine replaces the overall heating of the constant temperature room with a heated chamber method, while also changing the humidity control requirements of the plant to be managed by humidity control mechanisms built into the trays. Through the above innovative designs, the power consumption in the formation section of the factory's operations can be reduced by more than 25%.

Finally, to further empower new energy lithium battery companies to improve energy efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions, JSH collaborates with its parent company, HNAC Technology (300490. SZ), to coordinate the development of plant-level DC microgrids, which can achieve flexible energy utilization and help customers to build a “zero-carbon factory”.
